The Microsoft Advertising Global Operations team is the enabling arm of the entire MSA organization covering field and Sales strategy; Sales planning and execution; and managing the rhythm of the business (ROB). We are seeking an experienced Sales Excellence & Strategy Manger to work directly for the Global Sales Strategy Lead. The individual in this role will bring a broad set of business skills and a deep understanding of the operation of Sales organizations, ideally in the digital advertising space. This role requires a strategic thinker and strong collaborator, with impeccable communication, planning and execution skills. This person will have a strong focus on driving results while building strong relationships across Microsoft. The role will partner with Sales leaders, the Advertising Business team, the MSA LT and Global Sales Strategy teammates to develop and execute programs to refine and develop e2e Sales motions. The role will ultimately drive toward a best-in-class ‘factory to field’ Sales model strategies that leverage learnings externally and internally to support MSA growth and profitability targets. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities include: Clearly document and communicate MSA's place in the One Microsoft vision, engaging leaders from Sales, Advertising Business Team, Engineering, the MSA LT and broader Microsoft stakeholders as needed. Contribute to/develop organizational model vision that includes long-term design and execution plans that enable MSA to reach multi-year business goals. Effectively balance client need, business need, innovation and revenue/product adoption targets in strategy development and clearly articulate and document expected trade-offs as needed. Maintain deep understanding of current MSA ‘factory to field’ Sales processes and pain points across Search and Native in order to assess and make recommendations for evolving the core model. Partner with stakeholders across MSA, particularly Global Sales Excellence and Learning & Engagement, to ensure that Sales are on track for any role evolution or depth-expertise required. Surface improvement opportunities to evolve and refine operating model ecosystems/processes/governance and land strategic priorities effectively. Define, develop and analyze trends to drive continuous improvements. Continuous education on ties to Microsoft and Industry strategies. Qualifications Skills & Competencies: Strong communication skills in all areas of the business – from Senior Leadership through all field – with high attention to clear and concise delivery. Ability to coach stakeholders effectively through change management efforts . Willingness to adapt quickly to shifting business priorities and ability to work effectively under pressure. Ability to function effectively in a highly-matrixed work environment with strong cross-functional team collaboration skills. Demonstrated experience in developing end-to-end process to support complex business problems. Additional skills: The ideal candidate is a seasoned business professional with either analytics, Sales, Marketing or Operations experience who is passionate about helping sellers deliver great solutions to their clients. Professional experience working across functions to influence business strategy Sales and/or client facing experience preferred. Experience in a similar function, ideally within digital advertising. Search and/or Native Advertising experience preferred. Some travel may be required (less than 25%) Required Qualifications: 4+ years of professional experience in Sales, Marketing or Operations is required. Program and/or change management experience working across functions to influence business strategy Some travel may be required (less than 25%) Preferred Qualifications: Sales and/or client facing experience preferred. Experience in a similar function, ideally within digital advertising. Search and/or Native Advertising experience preferred.
