Power Platform is a strategic new growth area for Microsoft, but more importantly, it is a disruptor technology that is transforming careers of ‘citizen developers’, making Pro-developers far more productive and helping IT finally innovate at the pace that their businesses expect. This role is focused specifically on the Robotic Process Automation capabilities of Power Automate. Power Automate has already helps hundreds of thousands of organizations automate millions of processes every day. With the addition of Robotic Process Automation, Power Automate will help these organizations to also automate their legacy apps and manual processes through UI-based automation. This is a new project where you have the ability to get in early and have a big impact on our product direction and delivery. The project is expected to rapidly grow in scale and has the potential to be a new big revenue generator for the company! Responsibilities We are looking for a Principal Program Manager that is passionate about building and growing a product in the Enterprise space. This role will involve understanding enterprise's past workflow scenarios (often manual, tedious processes), and how they can modernize them with RPA. This job demands a willingness to engage constantly with new potential enterprise customers, understand their needs, and to then drive product direction so that we can invest in new-new generic features with the highest return-on-investment (NOT creating one-offs for certain customers). Once features have been developed, this position will be about demonstrating to these medium and large companies the value that Power Automate provides to everyone from individual workers up to departmental or company-wide IT organizations. Qualifications Basic QualificationsMinimum of five (ten preferred) years of demonstrated work experience in a software development or software delivery business. Applicants must be comfortable with ambiguity and self-learners who are able to make decision and keep making progress with minimal guidance. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Candidate need to be equally comfortable having conversation with C-level execs, as they are with developers, architects, partners and sales teams. Excellent project management, problem solving and negotiating skills, with proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations Excellent leadership acumen with demonstrated success in leading virtual teams, with ability to influence others and ensure results. Bachelor degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent work experience Working knowledge of the Microsoft technologies (Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, .NET, Office 365, SQL, Active Directory, etc.) Preferred qualifications: Understanding of RPA lifecycle, process mining/ discovery and other tools required for RPA. Working knowledge of integration platforms and enterprise systems such as SAP and other necessary from an integration perspective.
