OUR ZELIS PURPOSE
We founded Zelis to help control the rising cost of healthcare and make healthcare more affordable for all of us.
The Sales Director is responsible for driving revenue acquisition by identifying potential new clients for Zelis products and services, contacting those prospects to present our products and our value proposition, and partnering with the appropriate sales executives to close the sale. The ideal candidate will possess excellent prospecting skills and have a strong desire to learn the Zelis business to develop into a Sales Executive who manages the full sales cycle and fully closes on client prospects.
Become a recognized sales leader on all Zelis products by meeting or exceeding all assigned quotas
Partner with the sales team and the Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to identify client business and technical requirements during the sales cycle and determining recommended solutions and services
Develop and deliver sales presentations on Zelis products and services to qualified Health Plan prospects
Continuously develop a qualified pipeline of prospective clients through cold calling, telephone marketing, attendance at trade shows and industry events and leveraging of business relationships and networks
Identify areas of opportunity within current client base
Attend and present at Zelis User Group meetings and represent the company at various industry trade shows and conferences
Develop new uses, fits and partnerships for Zelis services
Track, forecast and report on pipeline activity, as well as won and lost opportunities
Update and manage leads and all activity using salesforce.com for current and future marketing efforts
Conduct all business dealings with integrity and professionalism to uphold the reputation for quality, service and value that Zelis has built in the industry and provide value-added service to our clients by utilizing a consultative sales approach
Establish, nurture and maintain positive, professional relationships with C-level decision makers within your geographic territory
Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to Zelis standards regarding privacy
1+ years of experience with demonstrated ability and success in generating interest and sales into Health Plans required
1+ years of demonstrated sales prospecting and lead generation experience in direct selling of Health Plans required
1+ years of experience developing and presenting client facing materials required
Ideal candidate will have knowledge of the operational processes of healthcare payers and an understanding of their goals and objectives
Proven ability to articulate and sell best practices and solutions
Superior communication and organizational skills required
Fast learner with the ability to operate within the highest levels of our target market
Experience in CRM use, specifically with salesforce.com highly preferred
College degree highly preferred
