The sales manager position is responsible for planning and implementing sales and marketing of the hotel toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties. Responsible for both proactive and reactive sales efforts with regards to group business opportunities. Accurately documents all sales activities in Delphi CRM software. Responsible for contribution towards achieving group budget goals. Develops and implements strategic marketing and sales plans to achieve corporate objectives for the hotel. Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail. Achieves satisfactory market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends. Responsible for outside/inside sales calls, site visits and tele prospecting to book new business and uncover business opportunities. Evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Monitors competing sales and marketing activities and changes within the competitive set and the airport market. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Assists with preparation of sales and marketing activity reports and presents to executive management. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote the hotel. Meets with key clients to maintain relationships, negotiate and close business opportunities.
