In this role, you will manage professional services deals through the entire deal lifecycle ranging from:
(i) deal structure assistance, (ii) language review, redline and interpretation across a wide range of documents, (iii) ensuring transactions are structured within standard OpenGov Services T&C parameters and approvals comply with documented guidelines, and (v) utilization and management of internal tools and systems the customer facing sales organizations can leverage.
The focus of this role will be to support OpenGov’s professional services organization from a deal strategy, operational efficiency, and decision-making standpoint. Success in the role requires a team player approach with the ability to multi-task effectively. The ideal candidate requires the ability for critical thinking and creativity to effectively identify different approaches to structuring deals during negotiation.
This role will work across organizations as a trusted advisor to help customer facing teams nurture a deal from quote to revenue generation smoothly.
The Professional Services Specialist is responsible for ensuring that professional services deals are sound, and commercial term documents are negotiated to yield the most mutually beneficial agreements for prospects and OpenGov and minimize delivery risks through strong SOW language development.
A core understanding of contracting principles and negotiation familiarity; prior contracts and/or contract management experience a definite plus.
Primary focus on statements of work, professional services agreements and similar documents.
Must has direct "redlining" experience and responsibilities in your career.
Expert knowledge of Salesforce highly desirable along with contract management systems.
Ability to interpret, clearly articulate, and handle issues / objections related to OpenGov contracting and commercial terms.
Ability to proactively analyze and recommend the best course of action for complex deal structure.
Experience working on a deal desk team or similar role, having provided direct support for customer facing field sales teams in SAAS environment.
Team focus on accuracy, expediency, and consistency.
Knowledge of the deal lifecycle.
Liaison experience working across internal organizations from finance, revenue recognition, senior management, and legal teams.
3-5 years or more of direct or applicable experience.
4-year degree or equivalent experience.
