Currently, the Global Tools and Storage (GTS) Division is searching for an Assistant Channel Marketing Manager to support the PTE business. Position Summary The Assistant Channel Marketing Manager will be primarily responsible for coordinating strategic marketing activities to achieve operating plans within the specified channels of distribution. The Assistant Channel Marketing Manager will have overall responsibility for the profitability, promotion, pricing, merchandising and new product plans for key growth categories within the prescribed Business Unit. Business Acumen Charged with achieving specific targets in association with identifiable accounts or particular segments of the business Evaluate analytics to determine which promotions are most effective and which to use to overdrive strategic goals Manage the daily channel marketing strategy for selected brands with strategic customers. Support Channel Management team with line review procedures through detailed reporting, presentation development, data mining and plan-o-gram creation. Manage new product launches, seasonal and promotional commercial strategy and implementation working cross-functionally with the product, other channel, finance, supply and demand planning, brand, field marketing and sales teams. Provides brand, product and management team competitive insights and recommendations Work with the cross functional teams to develop product, merchandising, and promotion strategies Work with sales & marketing team in collaboration with product, brand, and finance to develop strategic initiatives Learns and understands the channel P&L to make sound business decisions in order to drive top and bottom lines. Analyze/tracking POS, Inventory, Market Share, Competitive Landscapes Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment essential, with a high degree of flexibility and tolerance of change. Essential Skills & Experience: BA/BS Degree; concentration in Marketing, Business or Finance preferred. (1-3+) years of sales, marketing, finance or operation experience with a record of demonstrated achievement, preference within Consumer Goods Industry Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite and other ERP Systems. (SAP, BW, Salesforce, etc.) Effective project management skills, strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Basic knowledge of key business measures-sales, gross margin, OM, etc. Demonstrated solid analytical skills and problem-solving ability Strong attention to detail; strong multi-tasking ability as well as ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment Must have a passion for excellence and leadership. Executes with the highest degree of integrity and accountability. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business. Self-motivated individual who strives for excellence and continuous improvement through the use of analytical problem-solving skills. Facilitating, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Experience using various computer applications including Microsoft Excel, Access and other applications included in the Microsoft Office Suite. SAP and BW software applications a plus. Must have a can-do attitude and the desire to go above and beyond in all you do! Travel Ability: 10-20% travel (local, regional and national)
