Job Description

The VP of Sales will lead all revenue for Placed. This is a ground-floor opportunity for the rare leader who can build a world-class sales team while, in Year One, concurrently cultivate and close the active and rich pipeline of accounts and prospects that exists today. As a key member of the management team, you will have influence on the direction of the business and your insights and input will be critical, valued, and required.;As VP of Sales at Placed, you will:* Roll up sleeves and carry a bag while simultaneously ramping up a sales organization;* Be able to impress a CTO with your technical understanding of the solution you're selling, i.e., you can go deeper than a superficial explanation without the crutch of a sales engineer;* Be motivated by the opportunity to build a business and benefit from the equity opportunityOur ideal VP of Sales will have:* 10+ years of increasing sales leadership responsibilities in advertising technology;* Proven track record scaling top line sales revenues into 8+ figures;* Proven track record growing successful sales teams from the ground up - attracting, hiring, driving, and retaining top performers;* A current rolodex at high levels within agencies, brands; proven personal impact on sales achievement in recent years; exceptional communication and presentation skills;* Proven track record bringing new solutions to market;* Demonstrated ability to excel in early stage company;* The ability to be based in the New York are, and willingness to travel nationally as required
