The Cloud Solution Consultant will drive customer engagements by collaborating with the Principal Consultant and the field sales team to define specific customer solutions. The Cloud Solution Consultant with also collaborate with the CIS Engineering & Architecture and Delivery teams to ensure that optimal solutions are provided to our customers. The Consultant will also drive the SHI brand awareness as a Solutions Provider by providing thought leadership through industry trade speaking events and social media. The Cloud Solution Consultant will provide input for defining the future direction of the CIS department and internal education of our cloud sales efforts. Responsibilities: Include but not limited to:Lead initial technical discussions with customers regarding cloud solutions & provide expertise during the sales cycleCollaborate with the CIS Engineering/Architecture & Delivery teams to ensure a cohesive sales cycle with the customers and field sales teamsProvide technical expertise for the Customer Innovation Center (CIC), which is SHI’s customer demo areaMaintain knowledge of current and future cloud technologiesProvide education and guidance to the sales teams who identify and drive Cloud sales activitiesConduct presentations for to customers, sales teams, management and other SHI departments to drive SHI brand as a Solutions Provider in the cloud technology areaIdentify and develop relationships with key technology partners that will drive SHI offeringsParticipate and engage with related RFP responsesObtain additional industry certifications as needed Qualifications:Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience7+ years of IT infrastructure experience3+ years of experience designing cloud solutionsAWS Professional Solution Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, or ability to obtain either within first 3 months of being in the roleWorking knowledge and understanding of cloud architecture for Public, Private, and Hybrid cloud strategies including application migration, storage deployment, networking, security Required Skills:Skills related to specific Public & Private Cloud technologies such as configuration, architecting, migration planning and execution, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsAbility to lead technical discussions with customers and presentationsAbility to collaborative with other internal departments and sales teamsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to adapt to changing technology environmentAbility to understand customers’ environments and recommend appropriate technology solutions Preferred Skills Possess Leadership/Managerial and Visionary skillsAdditional cloud related certificationsPossess Data Center technology knowledge such as Networking, Servers, Storage, Application Development, Security Equal Employment Opportunity – M/F/Disability/Protected Veteran Status Special Demands:Ability to travel (approximately 50-75% of the time) as required by business
