As the Associate Director, Patient & Specialty Data Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end patient and specialty data ecosystem for his or her assigned brand/s. You will ensure alignment on data and reporting requirements between internal stakeholders and 3rd party providers (i.e., HUBs, Specialty pharmacies, Data processor/aggregators, Distributors). You will streamline the interaction across all stakeholders to guarantee a smooth and quality controlled data transfer process and to resolve current data issues and challenges. Working directly for the Director, End-to-End Patient & Specialty Data and in partnership with col-leagues across Novartis, you will have primary responsibility for ensuring that data is accurate, timely and complete for your assigned brand/s. Specifically, you will be responsible for (1) data requirements gathering, (2) data quality and testing, (3) data supplier on-boarding and management, (4) data issue management (identification, resolution and communication), and (5) data change (enhancement) management. Your primary objective is to ensure that effective and accurate data flows to the Patient & Specialty Services (PSS) Analytics team to enable end-to-end patient journey tracking and effective analytics to support data review and visualization across the Novartis Pharma portfolio. You will be a critical team member in the PSS Analytics Patient & Specialty Data Management and overall PSS teams, and will help with the operational management of the data capabilities for the PSS team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Managing the end-to-end patient and specialty data ecosystem for assigned brand/s: Oversee Data Quality Management process for assigned brand/s with external and internal data providers to ensure timely, accurate and complete patient and specialty data Inform and guide stakeholders regarding data availability, caveats and limitations to business unit brands (subject matter expert)Defines and manages the roadmap of data-related projects to support upcoming business changes and partners with internal and external teams to implement accordingly. Defines & maintains business rules to ensure high data quality for utilization across PSS AnalyticsRapidly identifies, communicates, and resolves data issues for PSS Analytics, working closely with external (data suppliers, aggregators, etc.) and internal (IT, DS&E, Analytics, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Managed Markets, Market Access operations) teamsDefines data quality metrics and utilizes reports and dashboards to monitor quality and enforce SLAs and data agreementsAnalyzing data sets in support of data investigations and/or data quality controlEnsures smooth maintenance of external data (syndicated and SP), solving the day to day issuesCollaborate with PSS Analytics staff to ensure consistent understanding and communication of common source issues (SP, HUB, 3rd Party Data) EEO Statement The Novartis Group of Companies are Equal Opportunity Employers and take pride in maintaining a diverse environment. Minimum requirements What you’ll bring to the role: Education: Bachelor's Degree is required in relevant area, MBA preferredTravel as required Required Experience: 3-5 years Specialty pharmaceutical industry or related field3-5 years of Healthcare Commercial Data Management experience with an understanding of the specialty products pharmaceuticals market, including data quality management, best practices and QC approachesStrong understanding of data warehouse and data architecture and processesClear, concise, and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to translate complex technical information into more easily understood and business relevant terms Strong business knowledge and mindset to provide guidance on how data can be applied to answer business questions (Understanding of how data is used for analytics & reporting)Vendor management skills to enforce SLAs based on data quality performanceStrong problem solving & project management skills Desired Experience: Strong understanding of specialty brand data and patient hub services, including experience working with specialty pharmacy (i.e. dispense, status, etc.), syndicated vendor (i.e. Claims, Rx), and patient hub data, (i.e. patient enrollment/intake, benefits investigation & verification, Copay, free goods, adherence programs, etc.) Ability to understand pros, cons, and limitations of healthcare data, as well as have an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of third party players involved (i.e., HUBs, specialty pharmacies)Ability to pull data from data lake/warehouseExperience with Alteryx Designer and Tableau software What you’ll receive: Competitive salary, annual bonus, long term incentive for select levels, health insurance, paid vacation/holidays, potential flexible working arrangements, subsidized dining facilities, employee recognition scheme.
