After all, behind every successful company are many great fascinating people. This critical role will be a key member of the ZEISS Consumer Optical Products, North American Leadership Team. The position will be based in our New HQ Office in White Plains, NY, just 40 minutes from New York City. The Head of Marketing will be responsible to create consumer awareness, retail and eCommerce positioning and strategy, and drive sell-through of both ZEISS Sport Optics and ZEISS Photo & Cinema Product Portfolios. This is a unique opportunity to build revenue growth and expand the 170 year ZEISS brand legacy of industry leading, premium optics. We are looking for people who are keen to try something new: Ownership of all marketing materials and programs, including branding, social media, PR, traditional and digital marketing, sales support, pricing, competitive analysis, trade shows Expand and lead world class marketing team by attracting and developing marketing talent, and establishing the marketing department’s methodologies, processes, and procedures Identify and manage external agencies including advertising, PR, and market research Develop and Execute go-to-market plan with Sales, and revising plans as needed with market shifts Work closely with Sales to provide sales programs, merchandising and point of sale materials Work closely with Product Management and Marketing resources in Germany to bring new products to market and effectively position products vs. competition in a highly competitive marketplace Be the marketing face and voice of the company at events Establish and adhere to a Marketing Budget for each product line Constantly strive to raise the bar in terms of talent, execution, process design, goals, and incentives Seek out ways to utilize automation to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support and nimble, but growing organization Maintain and refine scalable, repeatable and comparable methods of measurement and performance tracking for email campaigns Drive events, webinars, and email marketing campaigns, as well as offline advertising, including direct mail and print advertising Responsible for supporting initiatives and creative elements to acquiring and support New Business Present results in weekly, monthly, and quarterly Business Review meetings to key internal stakeholders and executives Work closely with the global B2B marketing teams and the product management team to establish and develop the long-term marketing strategy You are: Strong marketing pedigree with track record of building brands over time. Premium Brand Experience preferred 10+ years successfully launching and growing consumer products driven by both company sales reps and 3rd party representatives Demonstrated success in an international organization with multiple stakeholders outside of US 10+ years successfully launching and growing consumer products, including direct to consumer sales via online or traditional media 7+ years’ experience building and managing a team of at least 4 direct reports Clearly demonstrate ability to work in an entrepreneurial, hands on and adaptive environment. Ability to wear many hats in a small organization. Be willing to travel 20%+ including international travel 5+ years’ experience with retail distribution including National Retail, Specialty Stores and Distribution MBA preferred Successfully marketed consumer products via direct online sales to consumers (company website, Amazon) as well as sales through national, regional and independent retailers At ZEISS we encourage creative thinking and innovation.
