Job Description

The ABC Owned Television Stations are comprised of eight TV Stations, consisting of individual station websites, multiple mobile and OTT apps, and numerous long form streaming video access points. Stations are located in NY, LA, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, SF, Raleigh & Fresno. Group also supports Localish platforms and other distribution channels. The Digital Inventory Analyst will focus on conducting a deep dive analysis of ABC OTV’s digital ad sales data that would help identify business development and marketization opportunities. The primary responsibilities include performing proactive data analysis, identifying trends, and providing information that expands the overall understanding of business performance and drives and supports data-driven-decision-making. The Analyst will serve as the revenue and delivery gatekeeper, monitoring site traffic, ad forecasting, and ad delivery patterns to identify potential issues and troubleshoot any ad delivery anomalies. Responsibilities : Monitor site traffic, ad forecasting, and ad delivery patterns to identify potential issues Review and approve advertising campaigns in Operative by managing ad inventory using YieldEx to ensure we do not oversell Assist in campaign optimization, troubleshoot any ad delivery anomalies and identify revenue at risk. Coordinate with Account Managers and Planners to resolve. Prepare, manage and distribute standard daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting for Senior Management teams, using various reporting tools. Present recommendations to a variety of audiences, such as Senior Management, Executives, and Sales in a verbal or written manner. Define key metrics to measure ad performance and make recommendations to influence them. Collaborate with various business groups to gather reporting, analyze requirements and drive a data-driven culture. Prioritize multiple projects appropriately and communicate timelines and project progress effectively. Develop/produce additional ad hoc analyses and reports on a regular basis. Basic Qualifications : 2+ years of professional experience in digital advertising, yield/inventory management, web analytics, or comparable business analytics position. Experience forecasting digital advertising inventory or forecasting in comparable industry. Skilled at delivering and communicating business data analysis and developing metrics that would help to interpret data in a meaningful way. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to process, consolidate, and understand large datasets from a variety of sources. Experience in business metric reporting, insight development, analysis and process improvement. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize accordingly to deliver on multiple projects over multiple timelines with flawless customer–centric focus Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external communications Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with data reporting and order management tools, such as Business Objects, Operative.One, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, comScore, Nielsen DAR, and Adjuster Advanced Microsoft Office skills with expertise in handling large datasets in Excel (including the use of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s, Macros, and complex formulas). Experience manipulating large data sets, interpreting data trends, and recognizing discrepancies in data streams using a multitude of disparate data sources and tools. Proven ability to communicate, partner and work effectively with many different work groups (Ad Technology, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.) Required Education : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
