Team ServiceNow is creating a brand new team focused on building Industry Vertical products. The Sr. Senior Software Engineer will be a founding member of the core engineering team, building the 1st versions of a new product, working closely with product managers and design customers, and developers. Role This is a great opportunity to start early in the lifecycle of a product, and contribute to the success of the product. The ideal candidate is someone who is familiar with ServiceNow’s platform and products, has worked in a startup-like environment, and feels comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal guidance. What you get to do in this role: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the NowX Verticals Applications Development team. You will work within our agile software development process and play a key role in defining and building the product. The ideal candidate is someone who is familiar with ServiceNow’s platform and products, has worked in a startup-like environment, and feels comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal guidance. In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has: 6+ yrs hands-on software development experience and a Master’s degree in Computer Science; or equivalent experience. Experience in designing highly scalable, enterprise grade applications. Exceptional JavaScript and Java programming skills. Strong understanding of relational databases and data model design. Full stack proficiency, from UI to backend business logic. Exceptional debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills. Solid understanding and experience with agile software development lifecycle. High energy and is a self-starter with an aptitude for solving business problems. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Experience working with enterprise customers.
