Title: Indirect Sourcing Manager, Marketing & Corporate Services About our group: The Global Corporate Services Commodity Management comprise teams for Commodity Management (Sourcing) of Capital Equipment, Production Supplies – Chemical, Packages and Consumables, Logistic, Corporate Services and Facilities as well as Procurement Operations. As well, our service responsibility spans across the USA, Europe , China, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia . About the role: If you’re well versed and proven in developing and building relationships with key Marketing, Sales, Finance and/or HR stakeholders where you have direct experience conducting strategic sourcing that uncovers top-notch suppliers , then this may be the perfect role for you . Take ownership in this global position as our Indirect Staff Commodity Manager working closely with the Marketing team to ensure supply is consistent. What sets you apart for this role is your proven expertise in indirect commodities and strategic sourcing of solutions and services such as: Market Intelligence, Channel Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Event Planning, Paid Social, Social Media, Digital Marketing, Print Collateral, Advertising, and/or Public Relations Agencies . Bring your hands-on ability, your leadership qualities and take responsibility for corporate service sourcing globally & regionally for the US & EMEA. Reporting to the Director, Corporate & Facilities Services CMT in Singapore, you will: Have direct responsibility to support, manage and implement Corporate Services Projects globally and regional projects within US & EMEA. You may also manage projects in Asia on an AS-NEEDED basis. Hold ownership for developing, managing, and implementing worldwide sourcing strategies that achieve best-in-class results while ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership for all Corporate Services projects across the Marketing group. Ensure each marketing sourcing project and/or contract is managed according to Seagate policies and procedures, the current audit policies to the highest ethical standards. Perform diverse proposal analysis, as well as negotiating and executing best in class agreements. Directly manage suppliers including handling and resolving conflicts that occur between Seagate and Strategic Suppliers. Assess supply base and contractual risk and develop risk mitigation plans. Negotiate and implement various contract forms relating to Corporate Services and Intellectual Property. Develop and manage RFI’s / RFP’s through the entire lifecycle using e-Sourcing tools (including supplier selection, tender committees, and business award). Lead/Facilitate multicultural core teams including members from Marketing, Purchasing, Finance, Security, and other stakeholders. Develop and present cost savings reports to Management of all levels. Help to identify opportunities for improvement, performing evaluations, investigating and benchmarking best practices, and presenting ideas for change to other team members and senior management Perform market research and/or benchmarking practices and utilize highly effective negotiation skills. About you: Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision and direction Demonstrate excellent project and task management skills, problem solving abilities, and multitasking capabilities at a senior level Can see the bigger picture and think outside the box, capturing opportunities that exist using ethical purchasing and supply management practices Seasoned with problem resolution and escalation of non-resolution to Management Ease and comfort working with all levels of management including Directors, and Vice Presidents on a daily basis Your experience includes: Hands-on and proven expertise in Marketing and/or Sales Indirect Sourcing Commodity Management or Procurement is required Demonstrated experience in supplier selection, problem solving, analysis, negotiating, contracting, project management, and leading multicultural cross functional teams. Experience working with e-sourcing & collaboration platforms. Be able to perform financial analysis of a company and be able to read financial statements at a basic level. Working knowledge of Total Cost Analysis and understand how to prepare one for key projects. Be able to perform a Kepner Tregoe Decision (KT) Analysis Proficiency in MS Project, with high level of expertise with Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and using web-based search engines Proven ability in exhibiting high-level presentation skills, facilitation skills and human capital motivational skills Demonstrated working knowledge of good business practices and relevant laws as they apply to Facilities, Procurement, and Supply Management. Fluency in the English Language required Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience Your may also have: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent Bachelor's concentration in Business or Supply Management Travel : 10% required Location: Cupertino, CA, Bloomington, MN (Normandale Campus) or Longmont, CO Our Cupertino , CA company headquarters will move to Fremont, CA, along with the rest of our headquarter operations in early 2020.
