Bose Automotive Division is seeking a Leader for the Pricing and Commercial Management Center of Excellence. You will be responsible for building and leading the Global Pricing & Commercial Management (PCM) Center of Excellence (COE) team and processes. You will build new capabilities to support Flexible Delivery Solutions, as well as transition of our Full-Service Solution business model to a single pricing process. This position will not have direct interface with external customers. You will partner with Customer Teams, Finance, Tax, Legal, Product Planning, Business Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality as you execute the processes within PCM-COE You will utilize lean and best practices to deliver operational excellence within the center-of-excellence model while also supporting ASD business model change initiatives.
Provides strategic pricing and commercial leadership across the Automotive System Division (ASD) division
Build new pricing models for flexible delivery and software feature business models that optimize profitability while delivering long-term business growth throughout the project lifecycle
Build new capabilities to support the selling of ASD software features and/or use of 3rd-party software features in our customer specific projects. This role will partner with PLM and engineering to understand ASD and 3rd party SW features and functions, and associated services to assess range of SW pricing
Sets and directs global customer managers, account managers and staff, on the policies, processes and strategies of Pricing & Commercial Management (PCM) Center of Excellence (COE)
Owns, directs, and provides centralized process governance on ASD business processes including: Business acquisition process (BAP), business pursuit approval (BPA), Program Approval (PA), Contract Review (CR). Partners with other process owners on Team Feasibility Commitment (TFC), Concept Approval (CA), Change Control (CC), ….
Directs all pricing, commercial conditions, and Inco-Terms on all quotes / offers to current and future customers. Supports /Partners with Customer Team Leaders and Account Managers to ensure successful delivery and understanding of contract reviews, quotes, and offers. Monitors contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Partners with Product Line Managers on establishing market-entry pricing and commercial terms for new products and features that align with global pricing guidelines, liaising with Customer teams and advising on value propositions
Responsible for governance and reporting of customer pricing, and provide input for financial targets, strategic price setting for new innovations, and defending (negotiating) price.
Codify and share pricing processes best practices. Drive continuous improvement activities to reduce costs, improving efficiency and effectiveness
Coordinate activities with stakeholders in finance, engineering, marketing, supply chain and others as necessary to support new product introduction activities associated with new business models
Creates and communicates a multi-tiered visual management system to share key Pricing & Commercial Management information on current and future program approvals with divisional and department leadership. Creating a process to systematically manage Program Approval revisions and approvals
Assists with global sales strategic initiatives as needed. Examples include development of global pricing policies, price intelligence and mapping, new market assessment, portfolio margin analysis
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the PCM COE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field. MBA a plus
10+ years of sales operations or finance experience in a global B2B environment
10+ years Management experience preferably in a global environment
Prior pricing management experience in automotive or equivalent industry
Ability to manage centralized pricing and commercial management organization
Ability to effectively manage multiple business models and deploy pricing strategies as appropriate
Analytical and process-oriented mindset and approach; strong sales operations and project management background
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
Excellent leadership, collaboration and communication skills with proven track record of working effectively with different cultures and languages around the globe
Comfort leading in an agile and global work environment with flexible work hours to support global teams/network, conference calls, etc.…Up to 20% travel
