Position Objectives: Define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals to help achieve financial growth. Prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients along with growing and retaining existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. Job Summary: This position requires the ability to hunt into new accounts, develop and maintain business within existing accounts and manage complex product development projects. Strong collaboration and related skills, business forecasting, pipeline development and management skills are required. A proven track record of closed sales, client satisfaction, and teamwork. Must have strong verbal skills with consultative professional business acumen. Must be detailed orientated, organized, ethical, responsible and self-motivated. CRM experience preferred, strong internet research skills with excellent PC literacy (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Reports to: VP Sales & Marketing Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and segment penetration by effectively selling the company’s products and / or related services. Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects within the segment assigned. Drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. Responsible for identifying the segment opportunity and developing a business development strategy. Makes telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers. Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential. Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints. Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups. Analyzes the market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers’ to the organization. Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities. Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services for segment growth. Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on time Investment for the segment. Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services. Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with Technical Sales, Procurement & R&D. Sets goals for each KPI, tracks progress and reports out on a monthly basis An energetic, forward thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image Participates in trade shows and conventions. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in English. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM software Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Strong time management and planning skills. Ability to work with a team and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner. Five Years proven track record as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive or a relevant role. Beverage and or food manufacturing background preferred. Business / Marketing Degree preferred Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach). Must be results orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone Ability to work outside in both cold and heat Overtime required as needed Approximately 25% travel may be required
