Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of SH&E principles and values; champions safety as necessary
Plans, organizes, leads, and controls daily activities of the Maintenance department
Supervises maintenance staff; coaches, develops, trains, and evaluates maintenance employees; oversees on-site contractors
Responsible to manage and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Conducts training and safety meetings for maintenance staff
Responsible to comply with the global maintenance policy and write and implement a local maintenance strategy.
Establish a management of change system to assure that issues are identified, corrective actions are planned and executed and the progress is monitored.
Arrange the right competencies, skills and responsibilities in the maintenance organization
Prepares preventive maintenance reports and forms; maintains company files
Evaluates and integrates new technology related to terminal operation; ensures equipment compatibility; performs process evaluations
Purchases appropriate parts; oversees inventory; controls costs of parts spending; responsible for maintenance budget
Schedules and coordinates repairs and projects to meet requirements; enhances overall reliability of instrumentation and electrical equipment at the facility
Ensures maintenance staff knows parameters and workings of all equipment, control systems and processes at facility
Understands and develops ladder logic
Interfaces with Operations; provides support to facility as required or as directed by manager at facility
Responds to operational needs; troubleshoots equipment and process problems
Approves and monitors overtime; tracks attendance; schedules leaves
Maintains safety; ensures good housekeeping in work areas
Reviews and understands safety policies and procedures
Supports the design and construction of facility modifications, updates, and additions; ensures compliance with all safety, environmental, health, and quality expectations on projects
Support the coordination capital construction projects to ensure projects meet the needs and expectations of terminal operating groups; verifies that projects are consistent with Company design standards; ensures timely completion of projects; ensures consistency with market demand, sales department needs and fiscal restraints
Participates in safety training; verifies staff is trained in all safety policies and procedures
Monitors on-site communications ensuring proper handling of daily work and safety issues that may arise
Trains regularly on all Federal, state and local environmental regulations, requirements and guidelines including, but not limited to, RCRA requirements; follows and adheres to all guidelines, regulations, and requirements
Performs other duties assigned by management that fall within the generally expected scope of this position
5 years experience in instrumentation and electrical field preferred
Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred
Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written; Spanish language skills helpful; listening skills; experience creating and delivering presentations
Ability to prioritize and set goals; skilled in detail orientation, monitoring and follow through
Good understanding of environmental, DOT, USCG, safety, health and regulatory requirements
Customer service focus including the ability to communicate diplomatically; problem solver
Computer skills in Microsoft Office and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, various email and internet programs and applications, financial software programs
Experience working with Federal, state and local environmental regulations including RCRA
High School Diploma or equivalent
Electrical Journeyman State Licensed or Technical Degree preferred

This position requires an employee to occasionally be in an office environment with the majority of time spent exposed to outside elements. Most extreme elements are heat in the summer months of up to 100°+ and some exposure to cold of generally no less than 0° in the winter months. There will be exposure to various chemicals and compounds, including fumes and smells, some of them hazardous. The employee may enter confined spaces and work in elevated environments. Employee must be able to wear PPE required by the location. General office noise may be experienced and louder sounds and vibrations when outside. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. All environments are safe with appropriate PPE.
