Location Bismarck Downtown Job Description: Gate City Bank is now hiring for a Part Time Closing Teller for our Downtown Bismarck office! SUMMARY: Responsible for accurately processing financial transactions and being an effective source of information for customers: in lobby, drive-thru window, or by telephone. Provides “Brilliant at the Basics” service to customers and team members assuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time. May provide backup for another function. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responds to customer inquiries, listens to the customer, and responds to their needs by selling and cross-selling products and services per Gate City Bank guidelines and expectations. Receives funds, posts transactions, and pays out funds as requested. Verbally confirm intended transactions with customer to assure needs are met. Accountable for cash drawer, locking cash drawer, balancing currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift; and reporting any discrepancies to supervisor. Assist other departments and offices with transactions as needed, provide support for the department and office leadership in fulfilling customer requests, and merchant verifications. Use every customer contact as an opportunity to advise customer about additional services or programs that may benefit them. Exhibit ‘Brilliant at the Basics’ customer service skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, management, and clients. In order to provide expected levels of service to Gate City Bank customers, co-workers, and vendors, prompt and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Must comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, applicable laws, and regulations. Must be detailed-oriented and maintain high degree of accuracy in processing transactions. COMPUTER AND EQUIPMENT SKILLS: Proficient working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and Gate City Bank software systems applicable to the position. Understanding of how to use the following equipment: computers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, printers and ATMs. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent, prior customer service experience, cash handling, and/or sales experience preferred but not required.
