iFLY is seeking a Lead Instructor. The main duties of a Lead Flight Instructor is to ensure the safe, efficient operation of the wind tunnel and uphold the customer service provided by the instructor staff. Day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: standard Flight Instructor duties, ensure customer’s safety while flying, provide excellent customer service, up-selling and sales, coaching, manage the wind-tunnel and flight deck, clean and maintain the facility, organize training for Instructor staff, and conduct the daily run-up inspection.

What you’ll do:
Wind tunnel safety practices for instructing and training
Report to the GM about the Instructor staff and the safe operation of the wind tunnel
Report to the appropriate IBA Examiner about the development of the Instructor staff and safety
Manage incident reports and distribute to the appropriate personnel
Day-to-Day responsibilities include:
Create development plans with the management team for the Instructor staff
Responsible for writing and/or approving the schedule for the Instructor staff in partnership with the GM
Manage the efficiency and flow of the flight deck
Uphold all of iFLY's policies and procedures with the Instructor team

Demonstrate and aptitude for leadership and management

An IBA-rated Trainer

Must meet all Flight Instructor qualifications and currency requirements

Demonstrated commitment and dedication
Technically capable of operating the tunnel and it’s systems
A self-starter, detail-orientated and able to organize and prioritize
Tact, discretion, and good judgment are required to maintain positive relationships with co-workers and customers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic computer skills
High-school diploma or equivalent
IBA Level IV Flight Instructor
IBA Level II or higher Trainer
If hired, the company will provide advanced and safety training on a regular basis
