A Shift Schedule is: Monday - Thursday (6:00am – 4:30pm)
C Shift Schedule is: Friday – Sunday (6:00am – 6:00pm)
The Wave Clerk will be responsible for identifying and systematically allocating orders from WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and making them available for picking and closure. Duties included but not limited to: consistent communication with operations, compiling and arranging data, maintaining orderly records and files, inputting data from assigned production areas, verifying data accuracy, and generating basic reports as instructed.
Identify orders with WMS to be waved within service-level guidelines
Utilize WMS to systemically allocate (Wave) the orders for picking within service-level guidelines
Prepare reports as required for daily metrics as designated
Identify aged orders within a wave using open order reports
Validate specific items within an order
Ensure all orders are manifested (i.e. waves are closed)
Utilize WMS to identify issues within any orders to be waved and document them
Identify any and all orders that that have SKU’s requiring resolution in a timely manner
Utilize WMS to identify issues within aged orders and document them
Locate aged orders out on production floor (Picking, Monogram, Consolidation, etc.) and determine status
Utilize various systems (UPS, FedEx, Sales Force) to track and document problem orders.
Responsible for the reporting of all open waves to all Operational Departments
Responsible for gathering metrics associated in all production areas as well as communicating any and all discrepancies in a timely manner
Follow-up and validate all communicated information with Operational / Support Departments across the network to ensure timely resolution of problem orders
Document aged orders and communicate/deliver the information to the appropriate Operational Departments for resolution
The right candidate will have:
High School Diploma or GED
1-2 years in a Warehouse environment
Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
Ability to interpret material
Ability to effectively communicate with associates and management
Very well versed in word processing and spreadsheet applications as well as communication software (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, etc.)
Ability to operate all normal office equipment
Have basic math skills
Have appropriate hand-eye coordination to operate office equipment
Stressful situations will occur frequently
Office and warehouse environment
Able to lift 30 pounds
Able to sit for long periods of time in front of PC
Sharp, fast paced learning abilities
Ability to multitask
Warehouse Management System experience
