Job Details Description JOB SUMMARY: Develop and maintain an accurate demand plan/forecast. Monitor, analyze, and report customer sales and inventory trends. Assist the Forecast Manager with the annual sales budget. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Forecasting Develop and maintain an accurate demand plan/forecast by monitoring customer sales, shipments, item seasonality, and other information provided by the customer and/or sales reps. Create and monitor new item forecasts as rollouts are submitted. Collaborate with customer’s planners regularly to ensure the forecast incorporates upcoming ads, inventory changes, and new and discontinuing items are well planned. Forecast and track items being discontinued and coordinate with customers to minimize obsolete inventory. Communicate forecast changes to Operations and Sales departments. Sales & Inventory Analysis Monitor and analyze customer POS, inventory, & in-stock trends. Report and document shifts and trends for the NAMs and Sales Team. Provide customers with ATC on hand and future receipts information and discuss any current/ potential shortages. Budgeting Assist the Forecast Manager with the annual sales budget. Calculate budget plan/forecast for current active items and present results to the Forecast Manager for approval. Provide monthly reporting of year to date and year end projections verse budget and last year for the National Account Manager’s territories. Production Planning Revise system forecasts as needed. Send notices to Operations alerting Production and Purchasing when changes are made to the system forecast. Work with Operations on current/potential shortages in order to minimize shortages and provide appropriate feedback to the customers. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Four year college degree in Business/Economics or related field or equivalent experience Consumer Goods industry experience preferred Strong analytical and statistical skills Knowledge of the supply chain process Strong problem solving capabilities Ability to communicate effectively Ability to handle multiple tasks Strong priority planning skills Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office Experience with Demand Solutions software preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to continuously maintain a sitting position Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard function Ability to occasionally lift objects weighing 50 pounds or less.
