Position entails the recognition of Product design intent combined with the understanding of Manufacturing processes, material flow, and inventory consumption across multiple manufacturing environments. The ability to transfer this understanding into a logic based program that defines structured bill of materials via rules that are created based upon manufacturing practices and engineering requirements. The use of Engineering tools/databases (Team-Center) to enable a Product Configurator to drive Engineering bill of material creation and change. The Bill of Material structure must support multiple product configurations across multiple plants globally. This same BOM structure will be sync'd to the corresponding CAD assemblies to drive downstream consumption for manufacturing planning within TeamCenter and order fulfillment within Oracle ERP systems. Ability to read and understand ECNs, Engineering drawings, and CAD assembly modeling techniques including part placement/orientation to support downstream visualization.
We offer the flexibility of a core hour work schedule. Employees can flex their start and stop times given they are working during the core hours of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules are supporting our customers.
Define and build rule based logic to drive unique plant specific bill of materials within a Product configurator.
Interpret design intent of Engineering Change notices to determine the technical requirements for various product configurations.
Build constraints or links between 3-D CAD data and the Product Configurator bill of material to support future Manufacturing work instructions.
Create Engineering items within the given tools to support bill of materials or related CAD structures.
Support transition of Manufacturing plants to Oracle with item validation and migration, BOM re-structuring and conversion, and cost analysis/reconciliation.
Provide inputs on Engineering common routings for production processes and advise on the Manufacturing/Financial routings

Four (4) year engineering degree plus two (2) years work experience (co-op/intern experience may be considered) in related drafting and mechanical design and/or manufacturing industry, or equivalent. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLook-up, and conditional logic
Understanding of Manufacturing processes, flow, and material consumption.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work well within a team environment and across functional boundaries.
Four (4) year Mechanical Engineering Degree plus between two (2) and four (4) years of experience.
Experience with 3D CAD software such as NX9.0, SolidWorks or Pro/E
Experience with Team-Center (Structure Manager) and Oracle MRP system.
Understanding of Manufacturing processes and Change Management
VBA programming language and application of macros.
