In support of our rapid growth, InfinityHR is looking for a highly capable Product Owner to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. As part of our product team, you will play a pivotal role in the software development cycle and consult with various stakeholders to translate business requirements into software we can bring to market. Position Overview The Product Owner is responsible for making sure the company is working on the highest priority items for his/her assigned products as well as creating and integrating new products. The Product Owner does this by listening to customers, staff and doing industry/market research, then weighing all factors to determine impact to product demand, positioning, viability, and profitability. Product Owners may be asked to create a formal business case to sell the product idea internally or to customers. Incumbent will own the user experience and will be responsible for creating product descriptions, design proposals (mock-ups), feature requirements, user stories with acceptance criteria and work with the development team to build the best product possible. The Product Owner will be responsible for the go to market plan and work as a facilitator between the various internal organizations to ensure product policy and processes are negotiated, documented, and executed accurately. The Product Owner leads regularly scheduled meetings centered on system and operational requirements for product changes and new product development. He/She will pre-empt potential problems and provides effective solutions. The Product Owner will support our software development and help with solutions to enhance our talent management platform. This is a full-time exempt position; reporting directly to the head of Product Management. Responsibilities: Become the product expert on all products assigned. Identify the business and operational requirements based upon the business needs & objectives of each product. Own and manage the ongoing backlog for the products specifically assigned. Design and communicate vision for product enhancements. Understand and communicate priorities of business. Identify and present innovative and creative product solutions. Track and communicate go to market plans to cross-functional teams and customers, ensuring overall success. Lead the training, and communication of new products/product changes. Develop & conduct specialized training on new products launched. Management of all product integration/launches/changes for your products. Coordinate and build strong working relations with various internal organizations including: product development, support, services, sales, and marketing. Participate and sometimes lead product marketing activities, including webinars, tradeshows, along with analyst and press interviews. Participate in daily stand-ups with development team. Recommend agile process improvements and work with the team to be as efficient as possible. Participate in opportunities to develop both personally and professionally. Occasional nights and weekends may be required dependent on scheduled release dates. Other duties, as assigned - Working in a fast-paced, growing company means you will sometimes need to wear multiple hats. Qualifications: 2+ years product management, product marketing experience with a small to mid-sized company preferred. Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Have a solid understanding of agile software development – in particular scrum. Previous experience managing a SAAS product. Human capital software experience preferred. Flexibility – Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. It s important to be responsive to internal and external changes and self-manage assigned tasks. Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical people. Ability to think abstract with demonstrated strong analytical & problem-solving skills. Good presentation skills.
