Consumer Loan Officer

Description/Job Summary Cape Fear Farm Credit has an excellent employment opportunity for a Loan Officer in its Consumer Lending department. This Loan Officer will work independently to service loans, market financial services and develop strong working relationships with our customers, while growing our business in their territory. Responsibilities: Coordinates the rural home loan origination of branch-referred existing and potential customers Market Farm Credit consumer lending to real estate professionals Partner with local branches throughout the Association's territory to identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities. Education, Experience and Requirements: Required: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or agricultural economics 2 or more years of direct experience in mortgage banking Registered with or eligible for registration under the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry Knowledge of consumer credit disclosures and new regulations regarding consumer credit disclosures Strong interpersonal, sales, negotiating and problem solving skills Strong analytical and communication (oral and written) skills Computer experience with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook Preferred: Agricultural Background Lending experience Byte Pro Software experience
