Description: Summary Reporting to the Manager of Inside Sales and Estimating, the Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for exceeding sales targets, reducing controllable returns and allowances, improving the company close ratio, and working to maintain contribution margins. In addition, prospecting and business development activities will be a daily focus in order to gain more market share. Using a consultative approach, the inside sales representative will educate customers on the benefits of choosing Wagner with ease and confidence. Making sure to generate sufficient monthly quoting activity to support sales target. Maintain a balanced distribution of workflow to ensure customer expectations are met. Receives and processes sales orders, component recommendation and price quotations, inventory research and coordination with internal business areas, ensuring customer satisfaction, while performing services to resolve problems and answer customer questions. Essential Functions & Responsibilities This list of functions and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. 1. Answering incoming phone calls. 2. Quote stock levels, lead times and pricing on basic Architectural or Industrial repeat product 3. Gather appropriate information from customers to create customer accounts in current business system 4. Provide consistent and thorough communication between the customer, engineering, and other business units to ensure customer satisfaction 5. Make follow-up calls to customer to build relationships and to secure future business 6. Interact positively and professionally with all internal and external customers 7. Prospecting and business development activities are a daily focus in order to gain more market share 8. Consistently maintain sufficient phone activity each day to exceed sales target 9. Generate sufficient monthly quoting activity to support sales target 10. Maintain high levels of accuracy and proficiency to minimize returns and allowances 11. Joblist follow-ups are kept current 12. Create business plan for assigned territory in coordination with manager 13. Make sure quotes are sent out in a timely manner, recognizing that speed wins in many instances 14. Maintain a balanced distribution of workflow to ensure customer expectations are met 15. Marketing/Tradeshow Leads are followed up on in a reasonable timeframe 16. Cross promote all product lines 17. Utilize technology – Epicor, Dodge, iSqFt, Google Alerts, LinkedIn, Territory Searches 18. Keep accounts updated and current 19. Concise notes are entered for every customer contact 20. Timely coordination of incoming Invitations to Bid (ITB’s) 21. Qualify ITB’s 22. Maintain Battle Board of top projects to be reviewed with manager and account executives regularly 23. Identify projects and document properly within Epicor 24. Frequent and effective communication with Account Executives 25. Effectively coordinate prospecting activities with Account Executives using Outlook Calendar 26. Continuous Learning, Sales Strategies, best practices, competition, new products, etc. 27. Maintain a productive and positive business environment 28. Effectively demonstrate the ability to complete all functional requirements of an Inside Sales Representative, and consistently utilize these skills to accomplish sales goals 29. Educate customers on the benefits of choosing Wagner with ease and confidence 30. Exude passion and dedication every day to succeed 31. Manage territory/market pricing to maximize margins and project wins in coordination with manager 32. Accepts responsibility for own actions, including failure, embraces experiences as learning opportunities and not chances to blame others 33. Inside Sales Representative will represent the company in a positive manner in all publics 34. Accepts responsibilities for actions 35. Operates in an honest manner at all times 36. Participate in monthly 1-on-1 with manager 40. Participate in annual performance review 41. Support current years Corporate Sales and Marketing Plan 42. Minimum of a high school education or GED and one to three years of related experience in sales and/or customer service; or a combination of education and experience. 2. Utilize technology – Epicor, Dodge, iSqFt, Google Alerts, LinkedIn, Territory Searches 3. Effectively coordinate prospecting activities with Account Executives using Outlook Calendar 4. Good foundation in basic math skills. 5. Good working knowledge of the computer and web navigation. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1.
