Position Summary: The Business Development Manager of Channel Execution is responsible for business and sales pipeline development, within multiple sales channels to foster a dedicated commitment and referral network to increase overall organic sales growth on an incremental commitment basis. Business Development Manager is also responsible for all domains of customer satisfaction and has a shared responsibility with the partner firms for client excellence within the targeted channel. This position will focus on current and prospective Channel Partners in a specific geographic area and develop strategies to increase all lines of insurance sales through those defined Partners. The role requires strong communication and collaboration skills combined with a sense of urgency to drive revenue generation for the assigned geographic area. Principal Responsibilities: Search and develop new business opportunities for MainStreet, specifically in verticals such as mortgage brokers, realtors, builders, attorneys or industry network sources. Identify, develop and maintain the proper strategic partners required to effectively cover the Division. Define market and channel opportunities within area of responsibility or specific geographic location. Identify prospects and develops contact with high-level decision-makers in firms in the Vertical market. Build relationships with new prospects, create relationships for high conversion to closed sales. Multiple avenues to pursue prospects by cold calling, warm networking, social media and trade shows. Responsible for achieving assigned growth revenue numbers and targeted incremental gross margin. Collaborate with leadership and partner firms to establish and track pipeline and account plan activities and projections. Act as single point of contact for executives within assigned geographic area for channel development and a defined tactical plan. Qualifies each prospect and provides all required reports and database (CRM) updates in a timely and professional manner. Assures that the marketing efforts are effective and determine if and when the assistance of an advisor and/or product marketing individual is necessary, clearly documenting and communicating these needs. Uses executives properly in ensuring the client satisfaction of the channel, seen by partners as a trusted and valued resource. Has ongoing communication with firm partners and colleagues to ensure cross channel leverage and messaging success in the division. Maintain, deepen relationships with Channel Partners to create increased sales opportunities. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 3-5 years of business development, B2B and B2C experience in vertical market space is required. A proven track record with channel business development, sales process creation is preferred. 3-5 years in value and/or consultative selling preferred or in similar sales environment Excellent verbal and written communications skills, presentation, customer service, business and negotiation skills. A basic understanding of go-to-market strategies including account segmentation, products and marketing. Ability to manage a matrix sales model, leveraging all company resources to maximize revenue and profitability in sales channels. Established relationships within the target channels/base a plus which include realtors, mortgage brokers and those professionals focused in the housing market Strong organizational skills with an ability to create an effective, practical plan and execute within specified timeframes. Strong Interpersonal skills, integrity and relationship management skills. High energy with the capability to multi-task in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization. Special Working Conditions: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
