POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager works on a number of tasks and processes generally identifying, developing and implementing solutions and developing opportunity for Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. A BDM will identify and cultivate strategic relationships through excellent customer satisfaction with all medical partners, medical staff and the community. In result the Business Development Manager will create initiatives to better hospital performance through a variety of methodologies and strategies for Doctors Hospital at Renaissance financial growth, patient population and market share. POSITION EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field is preferred  Valid Texas Driver’s License required  Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues  Good written and verbal communication skills required  Ability to read, write and speak English  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, physicians and medical staff.  Prefer hospital experience JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:  Three (3) to (5) five years experience in a health care setting strongly preferred  Requires strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.  Requires reasoning ability and good independent judgment  Must present a professional image  Requires working with frequent interruptions POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:  Identify target markets in accordance with organizational strategy utilizing familiarity with hospital operations and existing reports, tools and dashboards  Evaluate and interpret market utilization data and market demographics, including market share data for primary or secondary facility service lines that are identified for both physicians and patient populations  Interpret current physician behavioral referral patterns, trends, and financial margins, ensuring resources are optimized  Develop retention strategies for target markets and facility service lines  Analyze ROI (Return on investment) Quarterly Reports for all increased service lines  Facilitate the retention of physician, medical staff and community relationships  Complete office visits 8 to 10 per day with physicians, medical assistants, and practice managers to ensure understanding, ensuring that obstacles are identified and minimized  Increase referral percentages/volume and expand services utilized  Identify potential opportunities and challenges while providing immediate and long term solutions  Present and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, and prospects  Identify opportunities for campaigns, services that will lead to an increase market share  Use knowledge of the market and competitors to better identify and develop DHR's differentiations  Forecast upcoming trends and ensure they are addressed with proper solutions  Work with creative team to ensure that prerequisites (promotional collateral for physicians) are fulfilled within a timely manner  Understand all of DHR’s objectives from administration to enhance the Hospital’s overall performance  Aid and assist new physicians to transition effectively to hospital environment and surrounding community  Prepare and present opportunities, market trends, and challenges to appropriate leadership/staff in a timely manner and on a regular basis, gaining support and commitment as needed  Coordinate meetings between key staff, physician groups, and external customer groups to improve communication and relationships in order to increase referrals or resolve customer service issues  Ability to research, understand and explain healthcare services' volume, utilization, market data, and physician referral patterns for DHR  Knowledge of key industry business drivers, emerging medical trends, and performance metrics, and ability to leverage that knowledge to inform strategy  Strong communication, interpersonal, collaborative, and analytical skills with a customer focus; must be able to foster and maintain sound working relationships  Independently motivated and driven to achieve high goals and seek continuous improvement in knowledge and skills.  Competencies for services line efficiency and effectiveness; discipline in goal setting, prospecting, networking, territory management, and time management  Skills to employ technologies effectively and proficiency (MS office suite, relevant mobile technology and web-based applications)  Plan and market outreach events including health fairs, CMEs and community presentations utilizing various outreach mediums to raise event awareness and maximize attendance  Enhance community awareness through promoting DHR service lines  Help demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, stream line work process, and works jointly to provide quality customer service  Develop project plans and task lists to help properly identify resource requirements and timelines to ensure completion of special projects  Enhance the hospital’s brand through television and online communication campaigns that cultivate awareness and familiarity amongst community members and patients  Works with marketing campaign, public relations and communications teams to ensure that marketing, and communications programs and campaigns initiatives are accurately reflected on all in-house and out-sourced production pieces  Monitors and coordinates DHR Network physician office installations, budgets, concerns, and customer satisfaction  Researches and proposes solutions that deliver cost effective advertisement, resources and technology  Assist with creation or delivery of media to all proper channels  Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to frequent changes in daily activities that involve special project assignments  Other duties as assigned.
