Job Description: Bard Manufacturing Company, Inc. currently has an opening for a Vice President, Sales & Marketing at our corporate office in Bryan, OH. For over 100 years, Bard Manufacturing Company has been a family owned and operated company, leading the HVAC industry in light commercial, educational, and telecommunications markets. With production facilities in Ohio, Georgia and Mexico, we service our customers both nationwide and internationally by designing and manufacturing cutting-edge engineered products. Scope and Responsibilities: The Vice President, Sales & Marketing is responsible for meeting the company sales and profitability objectives by successfully developing, implementing and managing the company strategies, policies, programs, and practices associated with sales, marketing, and product management departments. Duties include, but are not limited to: Develop and execute short and long-term strategic product, sales, and marketing plans required to achieve desired customer retention, sales, brand development, and profitability objectives. Develop and maintain a positive corporate image through promotion, training and adherence to all company core values. Participate with staff in the selection and management of representatives, trade shows, and sales calls to ensure marketing and sales objectives are achieved. Identify new product and market opportunities and conduct appropriate research to determine feasibility. Work closely with the Vice President, Customer Experience to establish annual and monthly sales forecasts as required for the sales and operations planning process. Develop and administer product application information and training programs for internal staff, representatives, and indirect customers. Develop and maintain innovative product literature. Select and manage Bard’s independent commissioned sales representatives, and make changes as necessary to ensure top performance in all sales regions. Regularly visit Bard’s existing customers and potential prospects to promote Bard products and solicit voice of customer feedback. Recruit, manage, train, and motivate direct reporting staff to establish and ensure top-level performance. Work with the engineering department to establish priorities, schedules, and action plans for new and redesigned products. Contribute to the formulation and implementation for corporate policy, strategy, and mission. Maintain familiarity with and constantly evaluate our competitor’s products, prices, strategies, and delivery systems, and apply this knowledge to Bard’s advantage. Work with Finance, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments to assure competitive prices and maximum margins through comprehensive pricing strategies and continuous improvement in design and manufacturing. Develop an integrated marketing plan that optimizes market share and profitability. Organize and conduct annual sales meeting. Develop and manage annual sales budget. Establish and administer procedures pertaining to pricing, market research, and advertising. Performs annual performance reviews for department personnel. Required Experience: The successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Mechanical Engineering 15+ years in HVAC industry experience in sales and marketing 5+ years as a senior manager Proven staff, sales, and marketing management skills Enjoys motivating staff and sales force to achieve objectives in a team environment Skilled at developing, managing, and supporting manufacturer’s representative network Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skilled public speaker and comfortable with a diverse audience. Mechanically inclined with strong analytical skills Strong computer aptitude (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Willing and able to travel up to 50% From: Bard Manufacturing
