Techlink Services, a nation-wide installer of technology infrastructure projects, is seeking a Vice President of Business Development for its Software Division ( This is a newly created position based in Asheville, NC, and reports to the President of the company. The primary responsibility for the Vice President will be to develop and execute the divisional sales and marketing plan, including implementing new ideas and tools for the company. The major focus will be twofold: 1. Client facing work. Identifying and closing sales of custom software projects to SMB’s as well as enterprise clients 2. Internal Development. Assist both the leadership and development teams in the ongoing market analysis and eventual deployment of a new product that will compliment TechLink’s technology edge in their core industry ( The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in closing custom software projects, as well the ability to think strategically about other opportunities. B2B sales, marketing and strategic analysis are important aspects of the position, along with exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals. The ideal candidate has experience researching market trends, targeting relationships and using proven methods to develop new business. Responsibilities include: Understanding and selecting target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which marketing strategies can be used to attract potential clients Researching prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursuing leads and follow through to a successful agreement Collaborate with design team to ensure that requirements are met Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects Possess a strong understanding of our products and our competition in the industry Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on corporate competitors Revenue Goals: · The forecast for outside client sales is predetermined at the beginning of the calendar year and a target set for annual sales · A bonus incentive plan is based upon achieving quarterly sales goals, together with an annual bonus for achieving goal Skills required: BA or BS degree Five years proven track record in software sales, with a minimum two+ further years in management preferred Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting Strong proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis software Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and clients, in a clear and concise manner This is a unique opportunity to join a group of technology professionals in Asheville, NC.
