Major Responsibilities Research, report, and write content for company blog, social media, and inbound/outbound marketing initiatives. This content will cover topics related to our four industry practices (real estate, financial services, healthcare, digital) and our software product (Pereview). Write occasional feature stories about employees, clients, etc. Must be able to digest complex topics into easier-to-understand concepts Have a working knowledge of the latest topic developments and trends by finding, reading, and understanding studies, news articles and press releases Connect with industry experts and develop sources for original and unique content Work with our departments to ensure that the content on our websites is excellent for our business purposes Providing basic SEO to all that you write, including title tags, meta descriptions, hyperlinks to related pages and blog posts, and sources Work professionally and effectively within a team environment that includes a digital marketing lead, a marketing/communications director, and a sales vice president Have a passion for learning about inbound marketing and content marketing – and your role in it The successful applicant must work efficiently and accurately to produce content on deadline. Additional Responsibilities Ability to organize and prioritize work Fast, but accurate Excellent self-editing skills Experience using social media both as a reporting and an engagement tool A collaborative personality and a track record of working well with others, as well as working independently True curiosity about the topics covered in this position An aptitude to learn technical skills, such as content management systems and other tools Requirements Degree in Journalism, English, Advertising, Marketing or related field At least two years of experience in a professional writing environment (news reporting, in-house writer, agency copywriter) covering real estate, financial services, healthcare and/or the data/digital sector. An ability to write a great story (writing samples required) Experience working in a CMS (WordPress); Hubspot experience a plus Working knowledge of AP style Ability to self-edit and apply editorial feedback Willingness to take direction but also to find creative ways to improve on that direction – initiative Ability to deliver excellent work on deadline Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience with Wordpress, LinkedIn Publisher, and/or Hubspot Video shooting/production/editing experience Having a positive social media footprint Knowledge of HTML and CSS Understanding of SEO
