Job Description

Vibrent Health, a rapidly growing health-tech startup, is looking for a Social Media Manager to administer the company’s social media marketing and advertising and assist the Communications lead in the development and execution of communications plans, with a concentration on social media platforms. The Social Media Manager will devise social media campaigns which align with Vibrent Health’s business pillars and strategic initiatives, to drive awareness, understanding and action in support of Vibrent’s mission and brand image. The Social Media Manager is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. That passion comes through as he/she engages with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning followers into customers. Social Content Creation Assists with the creation, execution and monitoring of engaging social media content and campaigns surrounding issues and events related to Vibrent Health to increase Vibrent’s brand awareness and online reputation Constantly mines new social content through regular interaction and established systems for collecting thought leadership viewpoints to share on social channels Leverages Vibrent marketing collateral, including whitepapers, case studies, bylines, blogs and other thought leadership vehicles, to create compelling, useful and industry-leading social posts that intrigue and capture followers Adapts communication style to the project campaign goals and audience Creates, owns, and executes a robust digital content calendar across all relevant platforms Responds to and engages (both online and offline) with clients, potential clients, followers, influencers and commenters to establish Vibrent as an active and responsive leader and participant in relevant social conversations and communities Social Media Strategy Works collaboratively with departments across the organization to maximize the impact of strategic initiatives Recommends organizational strategy as it relates to social media content and engagement and serves as a subject matter expert in applying that strategy across operational segments Devises a strategy and implements tactics to handle company crisis, negative posts and customer relations questions Social Presence and Engagement Conducts hands-on, real-time management of multiple social platforms at once across multiple enterprise pages Creates and seeks out social media vehicles and opportunities, such as Twitter chats, for Vibrent sponsorship and participation, to further client relationships and establish leading industry presence across social channels Keeps abreast of latest developments of social media platforms, new technologies, websites, etc., and makes recommendations that can help deliver best in practice results Attends events at Vibrent Health, client offices and other locations, for live reporting and to capture photos, videos, etc., for use on social media Identifies new digital influencers and recommends ways to work with them to amplify key messages Measurements of Success Compiles monthly reports and analysis of campaign strategies, goals and the effectiveness of those campaigns to grow social audiences Assists with evaluating the effectiveness and impact of communications and social media programs and proactively recommends and develops strategies to improve impact Sets goals and establishes key performance indicators and metrics to measure results on a daily basis to assure goals are met and results tie back to business objectives KPIs/Metrics will include but are not limited to the following: Audience Growth Audience Profile Audience Engagement Content Reach Engagement by Content Type Leads and sales Response Rate and Quality Negative Feedback Position Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism Experience in health care or technology preferred Minimum five years of experience in social/digital media, media relations, public relations, and social/digital media required Extensive knowledge and at least three years of experience creating relevant content for all social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube required. Must have strong knowledge of digital marketing and digital metrics Must have strong written and interpersonal communication skills Must be proactive and have the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently We offer a competitive compensation package, growth opportunities, convenient northern Virginia location, stability and longevity as we are fully funded through a large grant for the next 5 years.
