Department Corporate Services Position Type Non-Exempt Employment Status Part-Time Salary $14.00 per hour Open Date 06/21/2018 Close Date Open Until Filled No Job Description Summary The purpose of this position is to assist the Corporate Services team primarily with social media marketing as well as any other advertising and marketing activities the department requires. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalency. Portfolio including any poster/brochure designs, social media posts, articles written, screen shots of social media campaigns, or examples of other relevant work. Portfolio can be printed or digital and must be available if asked to interview. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other desktop publishing software. Ability to create and assist in the development of professionally written documents suitable for multiple audiences. Familiarity with web page formatting. Skilled in the use of general graphic design. Demonstrate ability to use journalistic storytelling techniques and copy editing. Reliable in completing assigned projects in a polished and timely manner. Dependable in use of College equipment, procedures and processes. Job Duty Design and develop flyers, brochures and other promotional content for online and print. Job Duty Research business stories to tell, relevant industry news, trending industry topics and industry influences. Job Duty Write articles, press releases and social media content for internal (employees) and external (media, customers) consumption. Job Duty Update department website when required using the Content Management System (CMS).
