It ’ s in this spirit that we are currently looking to add a skilled Senior Data Quality Management Analyst to our team in Newport Beach, CA. As Senior Data Quality Management Analyst, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by designing, implementing, and improving the RSD’s data quality processes, tools, and measurements. You’ll partner closely with the Data Governance Program Manager and other Data Management Analysts to contribute to the Division Data Strategy to drive improvements in data quality adoption, efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience. You’ll lead the roadmap, approach and socialization of business processes, governance and supporting tools to drive our division Data Quality strategy forward, as well as defining the data quality standards and disseminating this information to business and technical communities. What You’ll Do Analyze data and partner with domain owners, data stewards, and other business and IT stakeholders to ensure governance functions are adhered to and the business has a full understanding of their data Collaborate across business and technical associates to identify and resolve data errors/issues, escalating material issues that could impact business decision-making Participate in the metadata management process by ensuring that data profiling and data quality monitoring rules are documented in the metadata repository. Utilize data quality tools and techniques to help ensure that data accuracy is appropriate for the intended business use. Ensure that business rules are maintained, and data anomalies are resolved appropriately. Work with internal and external Stakeholders to ensure Data Quality approaches and processes meet the needs of the end user community Play a leading role within project teams in the development and deployment of Data Quality process improvement deliverables using the lean methodology; intersect process requirements to Data Quality technology needs and business value measurements Partner with other Data Management Analysts and the Data Steward community to drive adoption of data quality in each business area, ensuring alignment with Enterprise standards Act as the focal point for Division and Analytics business partners, who are driving data strategy and requirements Work closely with the core data governance team to ensure the definition and implementation for data quality standards meet the needs of the Data Steering Committees Tech & Tools You’ll Us e SQL query, Collibra’s data governance toolset, Data Warehouses and Data Lakes Factors for Success 5+ years’ data governance experience that covers standards and policies, data error resolution, and data quality practices including data profiling and data quality monitoring 5+ years’ experience defining and establishing data quality processes within an enterprise that covers domains such as customer, finance, HR and compliance 3+ years’ experience using a data quality tools, 2+ years of utilizing Collibra’s data governance toolset Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP); Intermediate level SQL query writing experience Prior experience selecting and implementing a data quality toolset; proven ability and demonstration of leadership skills, with emphasis on driving change across a diverse set of stakeholders Demonstrated understanding of business and data strategy and how it’s connected to Data Governance; strong process orientation/improvement skills to ensure governance delivers sustainable processes Strong relationship building skills, demonstrated consultative approach and influencing skills; ability to communicate with all levels within an organization and to work collaboratively across business units Deep experience in a data management practices and data governance including data dictionaries, metadata repositories and data quality management tools Data management experience in the Financial Services Industry; knowledge of data warehouse, data lakes and other associated technologies A career at Pacific Life is more than a job.
