Essential Job Responsibilities The NAEP development team is responsible for the development and maintenance of several sites and applications. As part of the NAEP development team, the developer will help in the development of Web solutions using .Net framework and latest JavaScript libraries like Angular, Node etc. This position will participate in all cycles of an Agile-driven software development process, which leverages a range of technologies. The Senior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting high performance and high availability applications. We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and modern applications. You will be integral in implementing next-generation applications for our platforms Implement new software functionality using industry-standard frameworks. Evaluate existing solutions and propose and implement improvements and extensions as required by the overall architecture of the product. Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software applications design organization. Develop Code, debug, and test software enhancements and/or new products in local, networked, or web services/applications, primarily in C#, JavaScript, Angular, T-SQL, HTML, CSS, and the latest versions of the Microsoft stack. Develop web API using modern frameworks like .NET Core, Node.js, and Backbone.js etc. Provide domain-specific expertise and overall software applications leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities. Create and/or contribute to technical and functional documentation such as detailed architectural and system design documents Participate in project/sprint planning, status, and review meetings. Participate in peer reviews and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with applications design and development guidelines and standards Identify problem areas and identify causes of problems and suggest actions for solving them Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software applications design organization Other duties may be assigned, as necessary Minimum Qualifications 8 or more years of experience developing web applications using .Net Framework in C# 4+ years of development experience with JavaScript libraries like Angular, jQuery, Angular JS, Node JS 2+ years of experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms Solid working knowledge of design patterns, best practices, and architectural frameworks like SOLID. 5+ years of experience with Web API or similar SOA frameworks Expertise in the installation, configuration, and administration of Microsoft technologies including SQL Server & SQL Server Reporting Services, Internet Information Services 8+ years of experience programming in SQL Relational Databases (SQL-Server, Oracle, MySQL) and a good working knowledge of SQL and SQL Server Management Studio Bachelors or equivalent work experience Microsoft and/or Security Certifications or equivalent work experience US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Preferred Requirements 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tools 6+ years of experience using recent versions of Microsoft Visual Studio 8+ years of development experience with HTML, XML, JavaScript, and CSS Expertise in developing unit tests and supporting project-testing efforts Excellent Communication skills Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
