We work with 1000's of families and we partner with star athletes including Kristaps Porzingis, Didi Gregorius, and over 30 other stars athletes What We Do Playbook creates and manages sports and academic programs. About the Position Our SDR is a unique program designed for highly motivated, competitive recent graduates that are passionate about sports and willing to go all out to get a great start to their sports career. The program is highly selective and it provides an accelerated path towards gaining a wide range of valuable experience and skills that will help you succeed in the sports industry. You will have extensive exposure to sales, business development, program operations, and marketing for both our core SMB operations and our sports tech startup. You will have unlimited opportunity to learn and advance every day and you’ll be a part of a tightly knit team working together towards a shared mission. Past SDR hires have been promoted and become leaders in the company. As a SDR, you’ll have the opportunity to significantly impact the growth of our business and help redefine the way companies hire. Our SDRs are often the first point of contact for our potential customers, so you’ll be responsible for representing NYC Sports and making a positive impression that sets the tone for the entire customer lifecycle. You’ll also become an expert in our business and products as you prepare yourself for the next step in your career. Walk in the shoes of a provider As part of your first year in the program, you will work 10-20 hours/ week as a manager on site at events and programs offered in Manhattan and the remainder of your Full-Time hours in our office. Programs may include a combination of our 30+ events/year at the Barclays center, youth sports programs, and corporate sports program. This experience will allow you to gain exposure to program operations and it is invaluable as a way for you to absorb the experience and pain points that program providers go through. How you’ll make an impact - You’ll manage and qualify inbound leads - You’ll research companies and approach potential customers through a targeted selling strategy encompassing calling, email, social engagement, and events - You’ll passionately test, measure, and improve outreach effectiveness Who we're looking for? - Excellent phones skills, highly professional, articulate and confident when speaking to prospects. - Passion for sports and sales experience is a plus but not required.
