The Sales and Marketing Manager will be engaged with Design, Engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, partners and our customers. The candidate must be honest and of the highest integrity. The successful candidate must be able to manage in both good and difficult situations with many programs running concurrently in varied phases. The Sales and Marketing Manager must be performance driven, resourceful and an innovative business development leader with exceptional skills and complementary marketing channels which fuel revenue growth in the Military and Defense, Aerospace, and Space industries. This candidate will have a history of progressive management success, both domestically and globally. The successful candidate must be a profit-focused with proven track record of accomplishments and successes driving deal closure, sales and marketing initiatives, building high caliber sales rep team to penetrating new markets, increasing profits and surpassing all organizational targets. Business Development: The Sales and Marketing Manager will have accountability for sales, business development, contract reviews, aspects of the proposal writing, and negotiations with all customers. This person must understand and uncover client’s needs through a consultative and investigative approach. This individual will develop strong relationships through an understanding of the client’s business goals and objectives as well as knowledge of industry programs. The focus of this position is on closing deals and negotiating contracts that deliver and exceed Ingenium’s revenue, profit and cash flow targets. Leadership: This person will build and motivate highly efficient cross-functional teams to achieve company and client objectives. The Sales and Marketing Manager must be an effective listener, focused on achieving successes for the team and organization. They must lead by example with an approachable, receptive and collaborative style. Strategic Planning: This successful candidate must develop marketplace and account specific strategies and tactics. They will be responsible for translating corporate vision into tactical actions to deliver key business objectives. As part of this role, they must perform marketplace, account and competitive analysis while using the voice of the customer and leveraging research and data to create target specific strategic plans and capture strategies. Working interactively with the leadership team and industry partners, they must develop relationships that can accomplish great things in our marketplace. Communication: This Manager will be skilled at developing long-term client relationships. This successful candidate will be adept at balancing customer advocacy with the needs of the Ingenium Aerospace organization. This role is a highly interactive and cooperative team player, focused on internal efforts to improve and maintain all areas of client’s performance metrics. General: The ideal candidate will be an expert with both analytical and intuitive skills that can delve deeper into all aspects of an opportunity or existing contract, work with customers, suppliers and technical staff to formulate and execute specific plans and strategies while understanding the implications of those strategies on schedule and the bottom line. All the efforts of this position require crisp focus and excellent multi-disciplined communication skills. Ability to author effective proposals is a must. The successful candidate will have a detailed understanding of our products and come equipped with deep sales and marketing channels and contacts in Aerospace and Defense custom motion control. OTHER SPECIFIC DUTIES Work cooperatively with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers. Support the full product cycle for each product application. Negotiate and Develop Aerospace, Defense and Government Contracts Develop, Negotiate and Support Aftermarket Sales and Marketing Channels Perform Strategic Planning and Objective Execution Participate in Team Leadership and Motivation Develop Major Client Accounts and Territory Management through Sales Rep Management Perform Market Analysis and Sales Forecasting Execute Sales Cycle Management Exceptional aptitude for complex products and situations MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS BS. in Engineering, or non-technical degree or equivalent experience Active & Current Sales experience of 10 years in aerospace based programs Demonstrated leadership skills by example, mentoring and running multifaceted teams Demonstrated success in Sales Development and Contract Negotiations Have actively managed Sales Rep organizations Have exceptional problem solving and organizational skills Excellent written and oral communications skills Extensive skills in Microsoft Products such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel Expert knowledge of Marketing Channels and Deep contacts in Military Aerospace and Defense specific to motion control and custom rotating components. Be a U.S. Citizen, NO dual citizenship and must be capable of obtaining a secret clearance (If required) POTENTIAL BACKGROUNDS Small to mid-sized military, aerospace and space companies which operate in a low volume high mix environment are likely to produce this type of candidate. The candidate needs to be extremely versatile and able to multitask.
