Riverhawk is looking to hire an experienced and dynamic Sales Engineer to contribute to the ongoing growth of the organization. This position will focus on targeting new business prospecting in addition to reengaging accounts that have not purchased from Riverhawk within an extended time frame. This candidate will be expected to travel regularly to visit customers with the target of identifying and closing potential opportunities. This position is based out of the New Hartford, NY office. What You'll Do: Contact potential and existing customers by cold calling, generating sales leads, responding to sales inquiries to secure new and increased business accounts to meet established sales targets. Be a solution provider to customers by determining their needs and develop/recommend products or services and providing product quotes to customers. Schedule appointments and visit new and existing customers to review product needs and determining other opportunities. Achieve maximum sales growth and account conversion within assignments. Develop customer relationships to ensure Riverhawk is a valued supplier of choice. Attend and represent Riverhawk Company on a professional level at a variety of trade show events Prepare accurate and timely sales information and reports for direct supervisors and executive level management Secure new customers within existing territories by securing sales and margin growth targets. Stay current and up to date on customer market trends, and new product(s) Responsible to know all product availability, use, benefits and pricing structure Utilize corporate resources as required to nurture new accounts and retain existing accounts Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and department policies, procedures and standards Maintain client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment Responsible for aspects of sales forecast, booking forecast, and sales gap tracking. Administration of third party manufacturer sales representatives is required. Act as a liaison between engineering staff, the customer, and other potential stakeholders. Maintain consistent sales activity records utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) software and ERP systems. Capability to perform multiple tasks within a fast paced manufacture ring environment. Ability to learn and maintain a vast catalog of high level products and services. What We Need: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the following: 2 year degree (Required) or 4 year degree (Preferred) in a related field Sales experience in an outside, customer facing role Ability to travel frequently both domestically and internationally is a must High level of technical or engineering aptitude Strong customer service and presentation skills Previous experience utilizing ERP and CRM software a plus Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Driver's License What you get: Riverhawk Company offers a competitive pay and benefit package for their employees.
