As an Account Director, you will work as part of our in-house creative agency, CheckMark, to manage your assigned client business to assist the brand in reaching its communications, revenue and profitability goals while efficiently and effectively stewarding agency resources. Your role will be one of leadership and facilitation of an agency team to produce consistently high quality work across disciplines - advertising, mass media, direct marketing, promotion, public relations, and digital/social. Ability to advance position of assigned brand(s) with insightful strategic thinking and guidance of agency disciplines toward quality execution of the consumer and brand-building strategies. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and nurture strong relationships with all levels of the marketing organization, focusing on the Customer Business Unit (CBU) Head and Communications Experience (CX) & Product Experience (PX) Leads. Foster strong relationships with other support groups (Legal, Consumer Marketplace Insights and Portfolio Centers of Excellence) and external agencies. Lead and integrate all disciplines and functions of agency to deliver impactful communications plan. Derive unique insights from market research, competitive activities and industry knowledge to advance agency recommendations on communications subjects. Assist in development of new product or renovation ideas and concepts. Manage and develop Account and Project Managers, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing feedback. Ability to manage multiple CBU’s and proven ability to provide thought leadership to higher levels of the marketing organization. Travel for this role is currently paused due to Covid-19, but once our company resumes travel, this position will require 5% travel. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum): Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Journalism, Communications or Marketing preferred. Experience (Years/Type): 8+ years’ experience in account management / creative services in an agency environment with Account Supervisor responsibilities required. National product experience in packaged goods category is preferred. Skills: Courage in stating positions and pursuing communication across a large organization.
