Overview: Florida East Coast Railway, LLC. is seeking the right individual to fill the position of Account Executive – Chemical, Energy, and Fertilizer Logistics. These FEC customers are specialized companies that manufacture and distribute chemicals, energy, and fertilizers throughout Florida and the rest of the United States. Customers in this segment include Motiva, Shell, Mosaic, and Allied Universal. This Account Executive will work directly with customers to diagnose and design best-in-class logistical services using the FEC Railway’s fast, safe and efficient railroad network within Florida. The ideal candidate will have transportation experience with either a shipper or carrier; knowledge of the needs of industrial and wholesale shippers, keen problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work with logistics personnel at every level. Additional duties may be assigned. Responsibilities: Providing support for customers by learning about and satisfying their logistical needs and service requirements of their customers Identifying and following-up with prospective customers that may benefit from FEC’s suite of high quality transportation services and capabilities Presenting and demonstrating a logistical plan and cost to prospective customers that meet their service and value requirements Compiling and analyzing data to find trends. Define and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for both customers and internal FEC departments Staying current on company offerings and industry trends in the fast changing chemical, energy and fertilizer industries Maintaining a database of contact information Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create and maintain a superior customer experience Position is directly responsible for identifying and securing rail traffic from new and existing customers Completing negotiations and working with FEC departments to on-board new customers Represent FEC on various levels to customers, government and trade association meetings Maintaining a database of contact information Travel as necessary, including overnight as required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, economics, or a related field. Minimum 2-3 years working in the logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or finance fields. Additional education or experience may be preferred. Comprehensive and current knowledge of logistics and supply chain trends The drive and energy to manage multiple accounts while looking to develop new services for both existing and new clients Ability to work with a cross-functional team to develop and design service offerings for target customers based upon their logistical needs, timelines, and constraints Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle the negotiation process required to establish new services and customers Strong time management skills Computer and analytical skills, especially MS Office, CRM software and dashboard applications
