Location: 175 - In-Shape: Palmdale West Address: 39409B 10th Street West Palmdale, California 93551 Position Type: Full time Job Summary: Fitness Advisor's are fitness enthusiasts who are front line business drivers and brand ambassadors in their communities. Advisors promote the In-Shape brand by engaging and motivating club guests and prospective members to join the club, use the club and stay a member. Fitness Advisors foster and promote a consultative, interactive sales process through a passion for fitness and competitive drive to succeed. Duties and Responsibilities: Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly lead conversion rates and new member retention goals through enthusiastic outreach Customize the “Join Experience” by encouraging involvement with our people, programs and places to align with the unique needs, interests and goals of each prospective member Recruit new members through service generated referrals Accurately and effectively utilize the In-Shape sales system (Sales Force) to prospect and enroll new members Provide excellent member service by promptly and accurately completing requested Member Service Requests (MSR’s) Successfully complete all company-provided training to enhance the team member, club member, and guest experience Understand and deliver FIT+ service with every guest, member and fellow team members Be knowledgeable about all programming, club activities, promotions and timelines Accurately present each guest with membership options and allow them to determine which option best fits their needs Assist in maintaining a clean and operationally excellent facility Participate in “Team Clean” process to pick up a variety of items from varies sections of the club (weights, towels, trash, etc). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Requirements and Qualifications: Personal passion for health and fitness Four-year College Degree and previous sales experience preferred, but not required Friendly, outgoing, and approachable disposition Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to listen and understand the individual needs of members and prospective members Strong time management skills and practices Willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Able to use technology resources to accomplish job responsibilities, including but not limited to: email, word-processing and spreadsheets, Salesforce, point-of-sale systems, scheduling software, etc. Able to lift 45 pounds, stand and/or sit for long periods of time Work Environment/ Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, changes in temperature/humidity; moving mechanical parts and vibration and exercise equipment; frequently required to stand, walk 4-8hours/8 hour day; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; and frequently use both feet and move them forward/backward and side to side; seldom required to sit; frequently to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and continuously reach and twist, including side-to-side movements; carry or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
