The Infrastructure & Economic Development IT Delivery Center is looking to hire a Purchasing Agent, responsible for the procurement of supplies, materials, IT hardware and software, and contractual services.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with hour lunch.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position is responsible for the daily management of all activities related to purchasing, which includes controlling and monitoring bureau procurement.
Purchasing activities include but are not limited to: the acquisition of mainframe and LAN hardware and peripherals; microcomputer, mainframe and LAN software; Furniture; miscellaneous equipment; office and consumable supplies; hotels; catering; equipment maintenance; facility rentals; and miscellaneous services.

Communicate consistently with store personnel to insure understanding and compliance with standard operating procedures.
Act as the liaison between the District Sales Manager and the stores under the DMIT’s direction.
Take appropriate actions to insure each store maximizes sales, minimizes asset loss, and conforms to budgetary requirements.
Extensive travel(up to 90%) from store-to-store, within a given geographic area
Perform work of subordinates as needed.
Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
